Μαζί με πολλά άλλα, τα οποία εξελίσσονται εδώ και αρκετά χρόνια, το δίκτυο Epstein δείχνει και αυτό, στο μέτρο που του αναλογεί, τι είναι και τι θέλει ο πραγματικός, ο επιδραστικός αντισυστημισμός της εποχής μας: Είναι μια εκ των άνω επίθεση στους με κόπο κερδισμένους δημοκρατικούς και κοινωνικούς φραγμούς, τους περιοριστικούς της εξουσίας των μεγάλων και ισχυρών επί των μικρών και αδύναμων.
Πρόκειται για ανοιχτή αμφισβήτηση του δημοκρατικού πολιτικού και δικαιϊκού συστήματος. Δεν είναι «συντηρητική» αλλά ανατρεπτική (disruptive), όπως λένε και οι ίδιοι οι επίδοξοι ανατροπείς. Το σύνθημα που της ταιριάζει, θυμίζει ένα άλλο ανατρεπτικό σύνθημα, ηλικίας εκατό και κάτι χρόνων: «Όλη η εξουσία στα χέρια των ισχυρών».
Οι πραγματικοί δημοκράτες και
οι ζωντανοί δημοκρατικοί θεσμοί, κυρίως στις ΗΠΑ, αλλά και σε αρκετές
ευρωπαϊκές χώρες, ίσως και σε άλλες δημοκρατικές χώρες του κόσμου,
πρέπει να λύσουν έναν Γόρδιο δεσμό πιο δύσκολο και από τον αυθεντικό Φρυγικό. Σε καιρούς χωρίς Βασιλιά Αλέξανδρο.
